LFF Mourns the Passing of the Permanent Secretary for Health – DR. JEMESA TUDRAVU

The late Permanent Secretary for Health – Dr. Jemesa Tudravu, speaking at the signing of the MoU, between the Ministry of Health and Medical Services and the Lupus Foundation of Fiji.

The Lupus Foundation of Fiji is mourning the loss of the Permanent Secretary for Health – Dr. Jemesa Tudravu. With the election of a new government in December 2022, the late Dr. Tudravu was appointed as Permanent Secretary for Health in mid 2023, succeeding the retiring Dr. James Fong. The Lupus Foundation of Fiji will always remember Dr. Jemesa Tudravu, because it was during his tenure as Permanent Secretary for Health – the LFF and the Ministry of Health and Medical Services, signed a Memorandum of Understanding, something that the Foundation had been striving towards since its inception in 2019. After being granted an audience with the new Minister for Health – Dr. Ratu Atonio Lalabalavu in April 2023, the Honourable Minister directed his Permanent Secretary to work with the LFF, towards the signing of an MoU. After much discussions and meetings over the next 17 months, the late Dr. Jemesa Tudravu, on behalf of the Honourable Minister for Health, signed an MoU, with the Chair of the Board of the LFF – Dr. Meciusela Tuicakau in October 2024.

The Lupus Foundation of Fiji, it’s Trustees, Board Members, the Executive Director of the LFF, our Lupus Warriors and their families, our Stakeholders, Partners and Supporters – extends the Foundations deepest condolences, to the late Dr, Jemesa Tudravu’s family.
