One of the Highlights from our Kadavu REACH Program Tour

LFF Executive Director – Ms. Una Tuitubou with our Lupus Warrior. He has had considerable weight loss and has been manifesting other signs and symptoms.

During the Foundation’s 3-day awareness on the island of Kadavu as part of the Ministr of Women’s REACH Program – almost everyone that came to our table and sat down to have a conversation and ask questions about Lupus, had lupus, or had a family member that was manifesting the signs and symptoms of the disease. A gentleman sat down at our table and straight out kindly asked us, to accompany him back to his village to meet his older brother, whom he confidently claimed had Lupus! So our Executive Director Ms. Una Tuitubou and her deputy Mr. Kaliova Turagaiviu drove to his village 30 minutes away, and visited his 57 year old brother. It turned out that he indeed has Lupus as we sat down with him and talked about his condition, and encouraged and equipped him with life-saving information that he so truly needed! He is being looked after by his daughter and is grateful for his parents and siblings who live in their village with him. The LFF is always inspired by our Lupus Warriors who have their loved ones as their mainstay of support, and who are crucial to their care and well-being! Back at the Namalata Central School grounds, our Lupus Warrior’s brother introduced us to his niece (Our Warrior’s daughter and Carer), and we brought her up to speed about Lupus and gave her more information and advice on how to properly care and encourage her father, as he continues his journey with Lupus. Our E.D. and her Deputy will be meeting up with him and a few members of his family, when they travel to Viti Levu this week. We love this work and are blessed to help all who are battling this dissease! ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼#RECHProgram#MakingLupusVisible
