Team Lupus Visits Malake Island in Ra

Team Lupus Visits Malake1

On Tuesday, 11 August, Team Lupus was warmly welcomed to the beautiful island of Malake.

We were honoured to have the Heads of the three Yavusa present, together with the Methodist Minister, Talatala Makelesi Watikaicolo who opened the meeting with a word of prayer.

The Lupus Foundation is grateful to the Head of the Soqosoqo Vakamarama in Malake Mrs Iliseva Ramo for her assistance and coordination and the Turaga ni koro – Luke Salagi for arranging our transportation to and from Malake.

It was a wonderful gathering, with a packed hall and a community eager to learn more about lupus, early recognition, and the importance of seeking medical care.

Vinaka vakalevu to the people of Malake for your warm welcome, hospitality and support. Together, we continue to Make Lupus Visible. 💜
