The Lupus Foundation of Fiji was honored to conduct a Lupus Awareness Workshop at Rakiraki Village today Wednesday June 17th , bringing together women, men, young adults, and children from across the district.
Organized in partnership with the Soqosoqo Vakamarama o Ra under the leadership of Mrs. Wasa Vakasilimi, the event saw representatives from seven villages converge at the Rakiraki Village Hall for a day of learning, discussion, and awareness. The Foundation is forever grateful to Mrs Ana Fine Domoni for her role in organizing these meetings for the Yasana Vakaturaga o Ra.
The workshop was exceptionally well attended, with more than 150 participants taking part. The strong turnout reflects the community’s commitment to understanding Lupus , its impact on individuals and families, and the importance of early diagnosis and support.
The Lupus Foundation of Fiji extends its sincere appreciation to the Soqosoqo Vakamarama o Ra, village leaders, and all participants for their warm hospitality and active engagement. Together, we are strengthening awareness, reducing stigma, and bringing hope to those affected by Lupus throughout Fiji.
“Awareness leads to understanding, and understanding leads to hope.”
