Dancing With Lupus 2024

Our final event for the Lupus Awareness Month of May “Dancing With Lupus”, was a night to remember! Our Chief Guest was the Vice-Chancellor of the Fiji National University – Professor Una Nabobo Baba. Professor Baba is no stranger to the Lupus Foundation, as we’ve conducted a few awareness sessions at a few FNU Campuses around the country over the years, some of them even before she was appointed to head Fiji’s National University.

In her keynote speech at our fundraising dinner – Professor Baba announced that while she is at the helm of the University, the Lupus Foundation of Fiji will be the only NGO that the FNU will sign an MOU with! This of course augers very well for the Foundation as it is a strategic move, and will assist us immensely in our advocacy in working with the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, with regards to the Diagnosis and Treatment of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus or “SLE”, more commonly known as “LUPUS”. We look forward to this huge collaboration.
