A Long Time Coming … Launch of the Coalition of CSO’s & NGO’s on Wellness

The 29th of October 2025 will be a day etched in the history of Fiji’s Health Care System! Today, a group of Civil Society Organizations (CSO’s) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s) who advocate for our nation’s health and well-being, came together with the biggest stakeholder in the Health Sector – the Fiji Government by way of the Ministry of Health and Medical Services – to officially launch the “COALITION OF CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATION’s AND NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATION’s ON WELLNESS”.

The Coalition was officially launched on behalf of the Minister for Health and Medical Services, by the Chief Medical Advisor at the Ministry – Dr. Luisa Cikamatana. The Lupus Foundation of Fiji is proud to be a part of the Coalition on Wellness!

The formation of this coalition is a ‘God-send’ and would greatly enhance cooperation, capacity-building and the sharing of information amongst its member organizations. A big vinaka vakalevu to the Head of Wellness at the Ministry HQ – Dr. Devina Nand, for her huge assistance in helping establish this strong Coalition. We are all united – in striving to achieve the very best Health Care System in the region!
