
The Minister for Women, Children & Social Protection with the Team from the Lupus Foundation of Fiji (LFF).
The Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection – Hon. Sashi Kiran, today met with officials from the Lupus Foundation of Fiji (LFF), to discuss ways in which the Ministry can further support individuals and families affected by lupus in Fiji.
The discussions focused on understanding the challenges faced by lupus warriors and exploring available social protection and community support services that may assist those living with the condition.
Hon. Kiran acknowledged the important role played by the Lupus Foundation in raising awareness, advocating for those affected, and providing encouragement and support to lupus warriors and their families.
Also present at the meeting were the Director of Social Protection, representatives from the Department for Women, and Director PMU who coordinates the Ministry’s REACH Programme. They provided information and advice on the various programmes and services available through the Ministry.
The Ministry will continue to work closely with stakeholders to ensure that no one is left behind and that vulnerable members of society receive the support they need to live with dignity and hope.
